Scope and Content Note
The Vera K. Castles Papers consists of papers and material collected by Vera Faith Kimball Castle (1903-1984). The collection consists of Vera Castles’ biographies of recent Nobel Prize winners (sixteen in number), correspondence includes the scientists’’ correspondence with possible publishers, stories and anecdotes of the fictitious character, Col. Poofy, newspaper clippings of the World War II, articles on Ms. Castles’ native state of Alaska, and various other newspaper clippings, articles, and memorabilia.
Provenance
The Vera K. Castles Papers were donated to the Archives by Rev. Fred J. Powell on the date of January 17, 1985.
