This collection consists of An Address Before the Historical Society of the South Carolina Conference, Methodist Episcopal Church, South at Chester, South Carolina, November 27, 1900 by Rev. E. O. Watson. This publication consists of an address delivered by Rev. Emory Olin Watson concerning the history and evolution of education sponsored by Methodists in South Carolina. The speech includes topics concerning early education in South Carolina, early Methodist education, education of African-Americans, Methodist academies and colleges, and the education of women. Also included is a list of the officers and the minutes of the meeting of the Historical Society.
