Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of a report titled, Population Statistics and Projections, Catawba Region produced in October 1974 by the Catawba Regional Planning Council. The Catawba Region is defined as a combination of the South Carolina counties of Chester, Lancaster, Union, and York. This report “presents 1970 Census of Population figures for the region by enumeration districts and 1980 and 1990 population projections by census area boundaries in each of the region’s four counties of Chester, Lancaster, Union and York.”
