Scope and Content Note
This series consists of four War Department Field Manuals titled: Basic Field Manual: Field Service Pocketbook Sketching (FM 21-35) (1939); Elementary map and Aerial Photograph Reading (FM 21-25) (August 15, 1944); Aerial Photography Military Applications (FM 30-21) (September 1944); and Advanced Map And Aerial Photograph Reading (FM 21-26) (December 1944). Also included are two Federal Bureau of Investigation publications: Classification of Fingerprints (1939) and The Federal Bureau of Investigation: United States Department of Justice (January 1, 1943. The collection contains a House of Representatives Restaurant menu for October 21, 1941 and a personal account of Tuesday, October 21, 1941 written on the back of The Sergeant at Arms, House of Representatives, US check dated 1942.
