This collection consists of a remembrance of Rock Hill, SC and its businesses in the Downtown area in the 1930s by Joseph Thomas Williams, Sr. (1915-2005) which he wrote on February 14, 1986 and was published by the York County Genealogical and Historical Society from June 1992 through March 1993. The article is titled, "A Stroll Through Downtown Rock Hill, SC and Memory Lane Beginning in 1929 and Covering Most of the 1930s." This personal account of what Downtown was like in the 1930s by J. Thomas Williams, Sr. he details what businesses and building were where. He offers several anecdotes as well that offer great insight into what Rock Hill, SC was like during the Depression era.
