Welcome to the second Winthrop University Interdisciplinary Conference scheduled for February 21-23, 2019! Winthrop University, along with the North Carolina/South Carolina Graduate Liberal Studies Programs Consortium is pleased to present “The World of Food: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on What We Eat and Grow.” This conference focuses on the growth, consumption, environmental impact, art, politics, marketing, history, and economics of food worldwide. It is open to faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, activists, and community professionals.

Registration is now open for the conference and all pertinent information about the conference can be found on our website. You may also direct any questions to this address. We look forward to hearing the great discussions that will take place on the subject of food here at Winthrop University in February 2019!
