This presentation will focus on the learning difficulties students have in the classroom setting and how to treat the causes of these learning difficulties instead of treating the symptoms we see as educators. Participants will gain an understanding of how the brain works based on new research in neuroplasticity and look at the common problems classroom teachers see because of these seven common cognitive skill deficits. They will also learn how to apply this understanding in a classroom setting to help struggling students in an inclusive way.
