Abstract
Some institutions implement exit interviews for departing faculty and staff in order to address employee satisfaction and reasons for turnover. This report highlights the exit interview process at mid-sized and large research institutions, focusing on the implementation of exit interviews and the collection of interview data by human resources departments and employing divisions. This report also examines contributing factors to employee turnover and highlights initiatives to limit employee turnover.
