Winthrop Close Up is a weekly news cast produced by the Advanced Journalism and Advanced Broadcast Production classes at Winthrop University. This week’s Best of Show Episode deals with Paul Ricciardi’s classic car, the spike in gas prices, the new art in Rutledge, information about GLOBAL, the man behind Big Stuff, and Bob Record’s Education story. The Best of Show Episode also showcased the Best of Close Up Eagle Sports with the Women’s Tennis Teams race to the top, the Basketball’s Pink Out Game, the history of Baseball, Winthrop’s Quidditch tournament, and why students love Fitness Video Games. The Best of Show Episode also looks at the Best of Arts and Entertainment with where the costumes of Winthrop’s Dance and theatre students come from, Rudy Jefferson and his Photography, Singer and Songwriter Rudy Currance, and Eric Shun and his comedy acts.
