Winthrop Close Up is a weekly news cast produced by the Advanced Journalism and Advanced Broadcast Production classes at Winthrop University. This week’s Best of Show Episode deals with why students may chose the military over college, How the Economy effects College students, how to be more prepared for job interviews, the breaking-in of the St. Francis Animal Shelter, the advantages and disadvantages of using a GPS, and ways to try and break obesity on campus. The Best of Show also showcased the best of Sports with the steps to making sure athletes are not taking PED’s, how the Johnsonian is changing the way they report on sports, Winthrop’s Fencing Club, and the Recon Fitness Adventures 8K Mud Challenge. The Best of Show also dealt with the Homecoming Talent Show.
