Description
This image is of Playland Park in South Bend, Indiana where the South Bend Blue Sox played from 1946-1954. It was bordered by the St. Joseph River. The park was also used as a race track with home plate being on the the track itself which made sliding into home very treacherous especially since the ladies played in skirts.
