Description

This image of the semiprofessional team the East Greenville Cubs (PA). The second baseman, Snooks Reifinger, taught Jean Faut the basics of pitching. Jean was a fan of the club and often watched them play. Eventually she would throw some batting practice where she would catch the eye of scout Charles Shuler who offered Jean Faut an opportunity to play in the league that would eventually be known as the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
