Scope and Content Note
The Rock Hill History Collection consists of a copy of an 1938 edition of the Evening Herald which is was printed as an advertisement of the City of Rock Hill, SC. It contains photographs and images of Rock Hill businesses and mills, schools, churches, the fire department, the police department, the train depot, parks, Rock Hill scenes, and citizens with captions and biographical information. This edition offers a great glimpse for historians looking into life in Rock Hill, SC in the late 1930s. Also included is an undated drawing of downtown Main Street in Rock Hill listing where each business was located.
