- Stewart is president of U.S. consumer and commercial banking for Citigroup and has 35 years of experience in the consumer banking industry.
- Prominent in banking circles, Stewart was named one of the Top 10 Women on Wall Street by the New York Times in 2013 and was selected that year for an American Banker Magazine Women in Banking feature as the 7th Most Powerful Woman in the field.
- An avid Winthrop supporter, she established the Cecelia Stewart Endowed Scholarship in 2011 to provide scholarship funds for business majors. In addition, two conjoining classrooms on the second floor of Winthrop's Carroll Hall were named the Stewart and Dickson Classrooms. Stewart also gives generously of her time as a current member of the Winthrop Foundation Board.
