Scope and Content Note

To further efforts to build relationships within the campus community, the Office of University Events and Scheduling hosts and coordinates important institutional events each year, including Convocation, Graduate and Undergraduate Commencements, and a host of events on behalf of campus groups. The staff also coordinates event planning for external Winthrop constituents who rent space for a variety of functions, including weddings, conferences, dinners, etc. The office is responsible for the university’s master calendar and space use systems.

Additional Notes

The Office of University Events and Scheduling was created in the 2015/2016 academic year. The Division of University Relations was formerly known as the Office of College Relations, Office of Public Affairs, Office of Public Relations, and Office of University Relations.
