An annual publication of the British satirical magazine Punch. The weekly magazine's first edition debuted on July 17, 1841. The publication had financial difficulties until the editor put out a large annual edition titled Punch's Almanack and was purchased by Bradbury & Evans publishing house. Punch's Pocket Book was a condensed version of the larger Almanack that could be carried in one's pocket and enjoyed everywhere.
Punch's Pocket Book for 1851 contains an almanac, cash account log, daily diary pages, a variety of useful business information, short stories, poetry, and cartoons. Please see the attached tables of content and illustration.
