Description
In 1966, Christine South Gee, Winthrop alumna, became the first honorary degree recipient from Winthrop. She was a Winthrop graduate in 1903, and English instructor at Winthrop from 1909-1913, and served as a member of the Winthrop Board of Trustees from 1944-1962.
This photograph is of Christine South Gee in her graduation dress in 1903.
