Interview with John Chester
Abstract
In his April 3, 2008 interview with Kristin Malone, John Chester details his service overseas in Europe during WWII. Included details are: stories of interactions with German soldiers, the brief moments of interaction with newly acquired friends in the military, correspondence with friends and family who were back home, some of the rules and regulations of the United States Military, as well as details on Chester’s post-military life and career. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections Oral History Program for the Veteran’s History Project.
