Scope and Content Note
The Civil War Letter consists of a one page letter dated October 9, 1862 written from Gordonsville (Gardensville?), Virginia by an unknown Confederate soldier to his Aunt and Uncle during the American Civil War. The soldier describes the physical conditions of the Army and the war.
The letter was found in Dacus Library at Winthrop College.
