Scope and Content Note
The Isabel Strait Fairy Papers consists of materials related to 1916 Winthrop College graduate Isabel Wylie Strait Fairey (1896-1983). Most of the collection relates to her academic career at Winthrop College from 1914-1916. The collection also consists of wedding information and organizational memberships of Mrs. Isabel Fairey along with notations and reviews concerning the writings of her nephew, William Francis Guess (1916-2001). This collection is a great resource for student life at Winthrop College in the mid-1910s and for the Strait and Fairey family.
Provenance
The Isabel Strait-Fairey Papers were deposited with the Winthrop University Archives on November 17, 1988 by Dr. Frank Strait Fairey.
