This collection consists of the yearly annual reports produced by the Piedmont Natural Gas Company from 1984 through 1992. The Piedmont Natural Gas, Company, Inc. traces its roots back to 1950 when it was incorporated in New York. The company is engaged in the purchase, distribution, and sale of natural gas to residential, industrial, and commercial customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee with headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The company was later acquired by Duke Energy in 2016. The annual reports offer financial highlights and information, letters to shareholders, reviews of operation, directors, officers, and manager information, shareholder information, and other information related to the operation of the company during their fiscal year from 1984-1992.
