Winthrop Close Up is a weekly news cast produced by the Advanced Journalism and Advanced Broadcast Production classes at Winthrop University. This week’s episode deals with the level of security and safety on campus, reasons for open spaces in dorms, possible grading scale switch and its effects, progress of the building of the West Center, Senior Audit process, Student Rally for Dr. Martin Luther King, Mass Comm. Study abroad program, the rise to the Restoration of the Organ in Byrnes Auditorium. Winthrop Close Up also takes a look at the York County Shrink Down Program, the Anthology Magazine, Mass Communications opportunity with NBC Studios, Alumni follow up on Mario Washington, and the annual Eagle Sports Update along with the entertainment and cultural events update.
