Biographic Information
Rachel Harris Brown was born April 13, 1920 in Oconee County, South Carolina. She graduated from Winthrop College with a degree in English. Following World War II she worked as a receptionist and in 1948 she married Hugh D. Brown. They ran Brown’s Funeral Home until 1991. Rachel passed away on June 12, 2007.
