Biographic Information
Dr. Ruth Stokes, Winthrop Alumna and math professor. She was the main driving force behind the starting of the cryptology course. She taught the course from 1943 until 1945. She resigned from teaching at Winthrop College in 1946 due to conflicts with the administration and taught at Syracuse University until she retired. She died in 1968.
