Description
Lucile Ellerbe Godbold (1900-1981), Winthrop Class of 1920, was named to the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 1961 and the South Carolina Hall of Fame in 2005. "Ludy" won six medals at the First International Track Meet for Women in Paris in 1922. The event was the precursor to women competing in the Olympics.
