Historical Note

The Maclellan family originated in South West Scotland in the Galloway area around its two principal shires Wigtownshire in the West and the Stewarty of Kirkudbright in the East. Dumfrieshire is also closely related to the history of Galloway. It is East of Kirkcudbright.
