Historical Note
John Scott was born in County Antrim, Ireland in 1808 and emigrated to Greenville County, South Carolina in 1847. He died on July 26, 1871. His wife Sara McCullough Scott was born in 1808 in County Antrim, Ireland and died on January 4, 1889.
Scope and Content Note
John Scott and Sarah McCullough Family Record, 1848-1961 by Sue Scott with an addendum to the original dated 1981 gives the family history of the Scott family of Greenville County, S.C. In addition to genealogical information, the book includes photographs, facsimiles and transcriptions of family documents, family stories, and other related material. Other surnames include McCullough, Austin, and Wham. Please see attached scan of page 1.
