The Ruth Born AAGPBL Collection consists of newsletters of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL), correspondence, and a few newspaper clippings pertaining to the players or AAGPBL Players Association of which Ms. Born was a member. Ruth Born (1925- ) was a right-handed pitcher for the South Bend Blue Sox in the inaugural season of 1943. She finished the season and her career with a 4-5 record, a 3.59 Era, 1.61 WHIP, and 6Ks and 47 walks in 67 innings pitched.
