Billy A. Shepherd [1930- ] worked at Winthrop part-time 1976-1978 and full time Dec 1978 to 1980. He was Director of Placement and Career Planning and an Assistant Professor of Management. Shepherd is a native of Fayette, Alabama and graduated from University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa-1958 (B.S.-Industrial and Personnel Management), the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary-1960 (M.R.E.-Psychology) and Winthrop College-1982 (M.S.-Business Administration). He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954.
Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of images relating to Bill Shepherd’s early naval years, mainly boot camp, deployment to Guam, and ending with his marriage. This Collection also includes two United States flags, of differing sizes, from his years working at the “Bleachery” (Rock Hill Printing and Finishing) and an Army song book that he received when he entered the service.
The Bill Shepherd Collection was given to the Louise Pettus Archives by Bill Shepherd on April 20, 2015.
