Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of memorabilia collected by Chester County native, Hugh Williford Millen (1927-1999) including his high school diploma dated June 2, 1944 from Oakley Hall High School in Chester County, SC. Also included in the collection are two commencement invitations (one belonging to Hugh Williford Millen and the other to William David Ernandez), an Oakley Hall Junior/Senior Banquet invitation, four pictures of buses, a handbook containing rules and instructions for the “Entry and Transfer of Animals in the Herd Register of the American Guernsey Cattle Club,” a record-book or 1915-1916 at the Mt. Holly Consolidated Rural Grade School, newspaper clippings ranging from 1915-1965, and a Mount Holly Methodist Church guide.
