The collection consists of a reprint of a discourse by Rev. George Howe delivered at Nazareth Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg District, South Carolina on September 14, 1861. It concerns the immigration of the Scotch-Irish to the Piedmont and Upstate sections of South Carolina and the Presbyterian Churches they established.
