Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of a Diary of Gladys Terriberry: American Army Nurse, France, 1918 which was transcribed with historical background by David J. Riley. It is a transcription of a diary of Gladys Terriberry (1888-1975) who was an American U.S. Army nurse who was stationed at a base hospital in France during WWI. The Diary covers the period from February 7, 1918 through August 11, 1918. Gladys was stationed in Chaumont in the Marne Valley at the Base Hospital No. 15. She mostly wrote about "more pleasant activities and friendships" instead of "the horrors of the war."
