Hundley received an invitation from People-to-People International to take part in the symposium. The HIV/AIDS Symposium was aimed to provide the Chinese medical community an opportunity to learn from other countries who have been dealing with the epidemic and to raise awareness. This journal is a day-to-day record of her experience and she provides a summary of her experiences at the end. Also included is a letter Hundley sent Christmas 1994.
