Scope and Content Note
The Hand Family Papers consists of genealogical records concerning the Hand Family descended from Uriah (ca1725-ca1776) and Ascenath Brewer Hand (ca1733-ca1778). Included is a typescript record on the Hand family genealogy by Moses Henry Hand (1812-1887) (grandson of Uriah Hand) in 1863. Moses Henry Hand served in the 87th NC Militia during the American Civil War.
