Scope and Content Note
The Charleston Photograph Collection consists of two photographs of Charleston buildings. One of the photographs is of the Charleston Battery and the other is of the Dock Street Theatre which is on the site of one of America's first playhouses. The facade is that of the old Planter's Hotel built shortly after 1800.

The Charleston Photographs were donated to the Archives by Winthrop's Public Information Office.
