The Alice Wilks Letters consist of photocopies of typescript letters from Alice’s brother W. Thomas Wilks who was a Confederate soldier during the American Civil War and two of her friends (1862-1864) . Subjects include the conditions and travels of Confederate troops, and the general health of family and friends.
Provenance
The Alice Wilks Letters were photocopied from the originals held at the Chester County Public Library in January 1984.
