Scope and Content Note
The Charles Haner Civil War Diary consists of photocopies and a transcription by James B. Legg of Union soldier Charles Haner who served in Co. D, 14th Michigan Infantry, 1st Brigade, 2nd Division, 14th Army Corp from February 9, 1865 to March 14,1865 during the American Civil War. Haner’s regiment participated in Union Major General William Tecumseh Sherman’s Campaign of the Carolinas.
