Grace Beacham Freeman (1916-2002) was a writer, poet, and educator and was the South Carolina Poet Laureate from 1985 to 1986. She was married to Winthrop Biology Professor John Alderman Freeman.
Scope and Content Note
The Grace Beacham Freeman Papers consist of newspaper articles, poems, poetry books, plays, photographs, and poetry in schools and places for therapy.
Provenance
The Grace Beacham Freeman Papers were deposited in Winthrop Archives on May 20, 2008 by Katharine and Carroll Parker. Katharine is the daughter of Grace Beacham and John Alderman Freeman.
