The Robert C. Kendrick Collection consists of photocopies of historical articles: “The Present State of Carolina with Advice to the Settlers” written in 1682 by R. F. London and reprinted in North Carolina Genealogy, 1971; “Captain Samuel Cobrin’s company of Militia: The First Settlers of Gaston and Lincoln Counties” by Robert W. Ramsey and printed in Journal of North Carolina Genealogy; “Recollections of the Civil War” by John Daniel McDonnell, First Lieutenant Commanding Company E , South Carolina Volunteers, Longstreet’s Corps, including McDonnell’s service in the Confederate Army from 1861 to 1864; “Details Concerning Battle of Williamson Plantation: York County, SC” by Fred M.
