Scope and Content Note
The Pine Lakes Garden Club was founded in March 1955 to promote civil pride and an interest in gardening in Rock Hill, SC. The Pine Lakes Garden Club Records consist of minutes of the monthly meetings, a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, photographs, membership lists, committee lists, officer lists, program notes relating to social and horticultural activities and awards. In addition, there are two survey maps of a local neighborhood in Rock Hill, SC as well as a disc containing photos from the “Lunch Brunch Christmas” event.
Provenance
The Pine Lakes Garden Club Records were deposited to the Louise Pettus Archives & Special Collections at Winthrop University on April 18th, 1980 by Mrs. Betty E. Brupbacher, with additions deposited by Linda Pilcher on November 9, 2010, May 27, 2014, and October 20, 2021.
