The Hornet's Nest Girl Scout Council received it's charter from Girl Scouts USA in 1935 to help girls build courage, confidence and character.
Scope and Content Note
The Hornet's Nest Girl Scout Council Records consist of historical files, reports, minutes, correspondence, newsletters, news clippings, programs, and brochures documenting the origin, growth, and development of the Council. Also included are photocopies of scrapbooks.
Provenance
The records of the Hornet’s Nest Girl Scout Council (HNGSC) were given as a gift to the Archives on July 8, 1977, by Mrs. Albert Dykstra, Executive Secretary of the Council.
