Scope and Content Note
The Lena T. Copeland Memorial consists of a Eulogy given to commemorate the life of Mrs. Lena T. Copeland titled "In remembrance of Mrs. Lena T. Copeland." Mrs. Copeland lived in Renno, SC which is near Clinton, SC in Laurens County. Her maiden name was Hollingsworth and she was married to Mr. L. Watts Copeland. The remembrance covers Southern life from the American Civil War through Reconstruction and up to her death in 1899 and offers a valuable insight into womanhood during this time frame.
