Winthrop Close Up is a weekly news cast produced by the Advanced Journalism and Advanced Broadcast Production classes at Winthrop University. This week’s episode deals with the fire story of Winthrop student Jodi Neal, the death of Coretta Scott King, the effects of the official changing of the grading scale, parking problems, Winthrop Radio Station, Student led memorial for Lyssa Ranch, PBS special called African American Lives, and the Chi Phi Fraternity. Winthrop Close Up also takes a look at the Winthrop movie nights in Tillman Auditorium, Students plans for Super Bowl 40, Rock Hill Revitalization plans, and the Eagle Sports Update along with the entertainment and cultural events update.
